As data volumes are exploding, there is enormous amount of data and not enough professionals to manage it. More data has been created in the past two years than in the entire history of the human race. IT professionals who can work with data by Integration, Analysis and Visualization are high in demand.
This course aims to provide candidates with data analysis skills to support business goals. By the end of this course, students will be comfortable writing queries for perform business intelligence reporting, write requirements for decision support systems, as well as integration between operational systems and decision systems, as well as working with reporting tools.
What You Will Learn
This hands-on course teaches technical tools including:
- MS SQL Server 2016
- SSIS Integration tool
- SSAS Analysis tool
- SSRS Reporting tool
Upon completion of this course, you will learn to:
- Perform SQL queries that analysts implement in their day-to-day tasks
- Create databases and objects e.g. tables and views etc
- Sort and filter records
- Join database tables using Inner, Left, Right & Full Joins.
- Aggregate data by groups, and filter groups.
- Administer and back Databases
- Selectively delete data, tables or databases.
- Setup a framework to allow for pulling and reporting data in the required frequently (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc)
- Transform Data in a staging area
- Loading data onto a destination
- Create a cube
- Design and deploying Cube dimensions and measures
- Create reports and visualizations
